'DALMACIJA'

DUGI RAT

The 'DALMACIJA' folklore society - Dugi Rat was founded on the 8th of March, 1967, with the aim of gathering free amateurs, for the sake of preserving traditions of the original and coreographed dances and songs of the Croatian people, and especially the Dalmatian island, the coastal and hinterland region.

A high level of performance was achieved in collaboration with the world-renowned choreographer prof. Branko Šegović.
For over 30 years we have been successfully collaborating with the doyen and legend of Croatian folklore, prof. Branko Šegović.
The value of this artistic production, esteemed by the stars of folklore creativity, has been recognized at festivals in Germany, Serbia, Slovakia, Portugal, Great Britain, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mexico, Turkey, Austria, Slovenia, Russia, Poland and Macedonia ...

This valuable artistic production has also been confirmed at festivals in Croatia by highest placements on folklore festivals in:

Daruvar (1969),
Metković (1987, 1988 and 2010),
Kutina (2000),
Koprivnica (2002),
Slavonski Brod (2012),
Đakovo and (2012),
Makarska (2013),
Kaštel Sućurac (2014) and
Vodnjan (2014).

The visits in Greece, (1987), Italy (1989) and France (1990) have been remembered.
